The Jackson State University bowling team posted three wins on day one of the ISTAP Tournament sponsored by Alabama St.
 
After losing opening matches to Tusculum (863-850) and UAB (990-727), Jackson State found its groove on the lanes in Friday's Baker format.
 
The Lady Tigers won over Grambling (836-675), Florida A&M (859-800), and Southern (846-808).

In Saturday's traditional team format starting at 8:45 a.m., Jackson State will face Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Tusculum, UAB, and Grambling.
