JACKSON, MS - The Jackson State men's basketball team will host Texas Southern in their second to last home game.

JSU fell short in the 75-60 loss to Alcorn State. 

The Tigers  had two players score in double figures, led by Chase Adams, who had 16 points, six rebounds and two steals. Ken Evans tacked on 10 points and Coltie Young added eight points and two steals.

Adams has averaged 13 points over the last five games. He ranks fourth in the conference with 92 total assists throughout the season. 

Jackson State grabbed 12 rebounds resulting in six second chance points. JSU is ranked in the top 50 in the nation for offensive rebounds. 

Coming into Saturday's game,The Tigers are fourth in the conference. 

Texas Southern defeated Arkansas Pine Bluff 64-59.

Chris Greene (23) and Shaun Doss Jr. (20) combined to pour in 43 of the 59 total points from the Lions. Walker III would finish with 19 and seven rebounds while teammate Henry added 13 points. Kolby Granger and Davon Barnes chipped in 11 points each while Granger led the Tigers with nine rebounds.

TSU is now in a tie for sixth with Prairie View A&M with just three games left. 

Most recently, Jackson State fell to Texas Southern on a buzzer beater.
