D'IBERVILLE, Miss. – The Jackson State University bowling team posted eight wins in this weekend's Southwestern Athletic Conference Roundup 2, again earning a berth in the SWAC Tournament.
The Lady Tigers posted one win in four Sunday matches, ending the weekend on a high note with a 920-859 win over Alabama A&M. The Lady Tigers had two players finish in the top 10 in pins in Roundup 2. Sophomore
Juliana Rincon is sixth, averaging 182.7 in 14 matches. Senior
Mariana Viveros came on strong to place eighth, averaging 182.1
JSU posted an 8-6 record in SWAC Roundup 2, tied for the second-best record of the weekend. In league play, the Lady Tigers went 14-14, tied with Florida A&M for fifth to advance to the SWAC Tournament March 24-26 in Arlington, Texas.
Jackson State will return to action Feb. 17-19 at Arkansas State.
