The Jackson State bowling team will host the 10-team TNBA/HBCU Invitational Tournament this weekend in Douglasville, Ga., at Southern Lanes.
 
The event in the Atlanta metropolitan area is scheduled to begin with the Baker format Friday at 8:35 a.m. CT and the traditional team format Saturday beginning at 8:35 a.m. CT. Sunday's championship round starts at 7:25 a.m. CT.
 
Teams scheduled to participate include SWAC foes Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Florida A&M, Grambling, Southern, and Texas Southern, along with Norfolk State from the MEAC, and Bowie and Shaw from the CIAA.
 
JSU returns to action for the first time since the Arkansas State Tournament on Feb. 15-17. During the tournament, the Lady Tigers beat #17 Central Missouri and #20 Wisconsin-Whitewater and now have six victories over Top 25 teams this season.
