The Jackson State University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Watson Cross Country Classic hosted by Mississippi College. The Tigers finished among the top finishers, and the men's team placed third overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED

-The men opened the meet with the 8000 M run

-Tyler Duncan finished in 17th place with a time of 25:57.10

-Jallah Galimah followed in right behind him in 18th place with a time of 26:07.20

-Marquentin Barnes came in 22nd recording a time of 26:18.30

-Raekwon Hopkins registered a time of 27:41.00 placing 39th

-In the women's 6K, Joan Kiplagat placed 17th with a finishing time of 24:33.80

-The men's team finished third overall with a score of 96.
