NEW ORLEANS, La.| No. 3 seed, and co-regular season champion, Jackson State had its season come to an end in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) semifinals with a 4-1 loss to No. 2 seed Alabama State at the Pepsi Tennis Center on Saturday.

Jackson State (15-8) fell behind after dropping the doubles point despite
Isabela Benavides and
Chiara Desia winning 6-4 at No. 2 doubles. The Tigers got their lone point at No. 6 singles where
Zofia Dziewiecka defeated Ena Arnautovic 6-4, 7-6. Despite the loss,
Paula Corbalan pushed her match at No. 3 singles to three sets before falling to Madalena Andrade 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.
