FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. | Shannon Grant has been named HBCU National Player of the Week by BOXTOROW.
He averaged 22.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.5 blocked shots, and shot 91 percent from the field (20-of-22) in helping lead the Tigers to a 2-0 record last week. In the Tigers' victory over Alcorn State (2/22), he scored a career high 25 points on 11-of-11 shooting from the field and 3-of-3 from the free throw line, blocked four shots and grabbed four rebounds.
Grant will be highlighted on the nationally syndicated sports talk show BOXTOROW with Donal Ware which airs on radio stations across the country including in Jackson on WJSU-FM 88.5 and outside of the U.S. in Bermuda and the Bahamas. A list of radio stations that carry the program can be found here
