Ledamian Rowell took first place in triple jump.
Rowell, the SWAC's (Southwestern Athletic Conference) Most Outstanding Field Performer for Indoor season, recorded a weekend's best of 14.92 meters in his fifth attempt. He also recorded a fifth-place finish in long jump.
Fellow senior
Javon Gray came in second only to Rowell in triple jump with a leap of 14.70 meters.
Terrell Dixon had a PR in high jump for a second-place finish at 2.05 meters.
Elijah Blige rounded out the top-10 finishes for the Tigers' male field events with a seventh-place finish in discus.
The Tigers had three second-place performances on the track with Godfrey Kimutai,
Tyjah Edwards, and
Fabian Campbell all recording personal records over the weekend. Kimuati clocked in at 3:59.96 in the 1500-meter race, while
Fabian Campbell finished at 1:51.01 in the 800-meter run. Edwards established a time of 47.20 in the 400.
Senior
Lilliann Dudley cracked the top three in shot put with a third-place effort, her second top-three finish of the season after finishing third in the hammer throw at the MC Spring Classic.
Dominic Turner and
Jaden Dix also claimed top-five finishes in Starkville, with Turner earning fourth place in the 800 and Dix securing fifth place in the 400.
Tramani Osley recorded a PR in long jump with a leap of 5.48 meters on her first attempt.
