BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Jackson State jumper Ledamian Rowell was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Georgia Tech Invitational, announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.

Rowell took second place in triple jump with a leap of 7.53 meters. This finish marks the fifth time Rowell has placed in the top-two in triple jump or long jump this season, including winning triple jump at the Southern Miss Invitational and Bulldog Relays.
