BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | No. 6 seed Jackson State will face No. 3 seed Alabama State in the top half of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Baseball Championships bracket on Wednesday, May 22 at 3 pm.
The game will be the third of the day with the winner moving on to face No. 1 seed Bethune-Cookman or No. 8 seed Texas Southern on Thursday. The other two games to open tournament play feature No. 2 seed Florida A&M against No. 7 seed Southern, and No. 4 seed UAPB against No. 5 seed Grambling State.
Jackson State and Alabama State met four times this season including three conference games in Montgomery with the Tigers taking the final game of the three-game series.Â
