Tigers wrap up weekend at Golden Eagle Classic Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. | The Jackson State men's tennis team won two doubles matches and one singles match over the weekend in Hattiesburg.

In doubles play, the team of Ching Chang Chiu and Goklap Ayar won their match against South Alabama's Juan Accossatto and Deren Yigin, 6-3. Meanwhile, Fabrizio Fallas and Alejandro Pinilla also won against a South Alabama duo, Victor Frumholz and Harold van Raemdonck, 6-3 decision .

Freshman Hung-Yu Chen recorded the Tigers' sole singles victory over Louisiana's Leonard Tramolay in a close 7-6, 7-5 decision.

The Tigers travel to Birmingham, Ala., for the SWAC Fall Tournament starting on Oct. 4.
