BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) announced its women's tennis all-conference teams on Thursday evening, with five Jackson State players being selected for the first two teams, including three on the first team.
The Tigers led the way with the selections, including two major awards also announced on Thursday evening, followed by Alabama State (three), Alabama A&M (three), and Florida A&M (one).
Paula Corbalan, the SWAC Player of the Year, led the first team selections on the back of an undefeated record in conference play, with four of them also being match-clinching wins. She and
Isabella Benavides also combined for a 5-1 SWAC record in doubles play.
She was joined by Benavides, who also finished 5-0 in singles play against SWAC opponents, with four of those wins coming on court four. The senior from Colombia created a strong dynamic with Corbalan, positioning them among the top duos in the conference.

Victoria Linkovski that went 4-2, finishing on a two-match win streak.
Linkvoski, the SWAC Newcomer of the Year, was named to the All-SWAC 2nd Team. She also went undefeated in singles play with a 3-0 record on court three, including a match-clinching win against Mississippi Valley State.
