FLOWOOD, Miss. | Trace Carpenter and JD Berndt recorded top-10 finishes for Jackson State as the Tigers finished fourth overall in the season-opening TheeILove Intercollegiate, hosted at The Refuge Golf Course this week.

The duo each shot 3-over (219) over the two days, with Carpenter firing a 1-over (73) in the final round to climb the leaderboard after shooting even-par on the final 18 on Monday afternoon. Meanwhile, Berndt finished the tournament with 3-over (75) in the final round after shooting a 1-over (73) in the opening round and a 1-under (71) over the final 18 on Monday.

The Tigers finished with a 23-over (887) for the tournament, finishing 13 shots behind Arkansas-Pine Bluff (+10) for third overall. They also finished seven shots ahead of Southern (+30) in the tournament won by Prairie View A&M at 4-under (860).
