JSU Volleyball Completes Season at SWAC Tournament

ITTA BENA, Miss – Camry Dabney dropped a team-high 10 kills as No. 5 seed Texas Southern defeated No. 4 seed Jackson State 25-22, 29-27, 25-21 in the quarterfinals of the 2018 SWAC Volleyball Tournament.

JSU completes the 2018 season with an 11-25 record.

Tielar Richards, who was named to the All-SWAC selection at outside hitter totaled nine kills and a .208 attacking percentage. The Los Angeles, California native also added three digs.

Marina Bianchi Brito, an All-SWAC selection at middle blocker, added eight kills and a pair of assisted blocks.

Priscilla Sanchez recorded a team-high 18 assists, while Sapphire Simpson helped with 11 assists and seven digs.

Markayshia Masani, an All-SWAC selection as libero, totaled 16 digs, two assists and snuck in a kill.
