JSU Going for Six in a Row

JACKSON, Miss. – The Jackson State Lady Tigers roll into tonight's contest having been a force in each of its last seven out of eight matchups with five consecutive wins.
 
In that stretch the Tigers have put together four sweeps as they now sit at 6-1 overall in SWAC play and 10-13 overall.
 
Jackson State looks to continue the streak tonight versus Alabama A&M at the Lee E. Williams Athletic and Assembly Center beginning at 6:30 p.m.
 
They'll have to do so against a very good team in Alabama A&M who comes to town with the same record as Jackson State in SWAC play with a record of 6-1. The Lady Bulldogs own a 10-11 overall mark on the season.
 
As a team, Alabama A&M is averaging 11.9 kills per set with a total of 818 kills on the season. The Bulldogs have four players with triple digit kills: Jaelin Cant (128), Alana Cox (142), Maya Evans (158), and Terra Brooks (132). A&M is coached by head coach Rose Powell.
