JACKSON, Miss. - The Jackson State Lady Tigers added a key piece to the roster with the signing of UAB transfer, LaMiracle Sims this week to an already stacked team that is coming off of a SWAC Championship and NCAA Tournament bid.
Sims signs with the Lady Tigers after one season at UAB in which she appeared in 23 games for the Blazers, averaging nearly 6.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in her Junior season.
Prior to here arrival at UAB, Sims was a a force at the Junior College level, averaging a double-double as a sophomore at Jones College. In her time at JC she was named to the All-Region 23 Team and All-State Second Team as a sophomore.
Sims graduated high school from Moss Point where she ranked as the No. 16 overall forward in the country by ESPN HoopGurlz. She was also was a nominee for the McDonalds All-American Team.

She brings toughness, grit, and experience to the program. She is a great student and an amazing athlete. She's won championships and has played with some of the best in women's basketball. - Averaged a double-double of 11 points and 10.9 rebounds per game as a sophomore
