JACKSON, Miss – Jackson State Volleyball announced its 2021 schedule Thursday afternoon.
The defending SWAC champions will play three non-conference tournaments and three non-conference games before transitioning into conference play against Florida A&M on September 24.
JSU will open the 2020-2021 campaign at the Auburn Arena with the War Eagle Invitational featuring Citadel, Tennessee Tech, and Auburn University on August 27 and 28.
The Lady Tigers will play 28 matches - 16 Southwestern Athletic Conference and 12 non-conference. In addition to the War Eagle Invitational, JSU will also take part in two additional tournaments on the road: the North Texas Challenge hosted by North Texas and the Hail State Invitational, hosted by Mississippi State.
JSU volleyball rounds out their non-conference schedule with Louisiana Tech in Ruston, La., and Southeastern Louisiana in Jackson. The defending champions will host conference matches against FAMU, Bethune-Cookman, Mississippi Valley, Alabama A&M, and Alabama State and will also host the SWAC Eastern Division Cluster One Oct. 9-10 where they will face Texas Southern, UAPB, and Grambling State.
The Lady Tigers will also travel to Baton Rouge, La for the SWAC Western Division Cluster Two where they will face Prairie View, Southern, and Alcorn State at the F.G. Clark Activity Center.
The 2021 SWAC Volleyball Tournament will be held in Huntsville, Ala. from Nov. 19-21.
