JSU head coach Gabrielle Moore said the two matches weren't pretty, but she applauded her team for finding a way to win against both opponents.

"We struggled in doubles play today, but instead of making excuses, we were able to turn around the momentum in singles and find a solution in the first match against SLU," said Moore.  "Against LSUA, we adjusted and won a hard-fought doubles point and continued to compete through singles with Paula Arcarons clinching the match at No. 2. I'm extremely proud of the girls and their character.  They fought really hard today."

The Lady Tigers return to action on Tuesday, when they host North Carolina Central at the JSU Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
