JACKSON, Miss.| The Jackson State women's tennis team returned to the JSU Tennis Center for day two of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tennis Pod. The Tigers blanked Southern University 4-0 in the matchup.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Paula Arcarons and Daniella Ramos opened the day winning their doubles match over Agye Mintah and Takalani Molaoa (SU), 6-1
- Tyra-Nicole Whyte and Robin Alston helped JSU secure the doubles point with a 6-1 win over Paris Washington and Kai Wince (SU)
- Robina Alston opened singles with a victory over Takalani Molaoa (SU), 6-3, 6-0
- Paula Arcarons dominated her singles matchup defeating Paris Washington, 6-0, 6-0
- Daniella Ramos topped Sasha Taruberekera (SU), 6-2, 6-1, to secure the Tigers' 4-0 win over Southern University
UP NEXT
The women's tennis team will return for the final day of the SWAC Pod to take on Alabama State along with the men's tennis team. First serve is set for 10 a.m. at the JSU Tennis Center.
