JACKSON, Miss.| The Jackson State volleyball program has announced dates for its 21^st Annual JSU Summer Camps. Registration for the camps listed below are now open.
 
This summer, the JSU Volleyball program will offer three mini camps and two skills clinics.
 
Middle School Skills Camp (9am-12pm) & Junior Varsity Skills Camp (2pm-5pm)

• July 8 & 9, 2024
• These two-day mini camps are designed to familiarize incoming Middle School (grades 6-8) and Junior Varsity (grades 8-10) athletes with basic volleyball fundamentals. During these sessions, your athlete will learn volleyball lingo and be introduced to more efficient ways to pass, set, & attack the volleyball. Camp coaches will incorporate specific movements and drills to maximize skill development, teamwork, and fun for all participants!

 
High School Skills Clinics:
 Session I: Setting & Hitting (9-12pm) & Session II: Serving & Passing (2-5pm)

• July 10, 2024
• These two training sessions will focus on sharpening positional skill sets. With enhanced drills & instruction, these clinics are designed for athletes who want to work the more technical aspects of their individual performance. Athletes can choose to attend both sessions but no lunch provided.

 
Elite Skills Camp:
Day I: 9am -5pm; Day II: 9am-12pm

• July 11 & 12, 2024
• Elite Skills is a multi-day, high intensity camp where intermediate & advanced athletes will engage in the fundamental, strategic and rapid-fire learning of the entire game. The session is comprehensive, progressive and will conclude with team scrimmages.
