HARAHAN, La. | In the final tournament before the new year, Jackson State's women's bowling team recorded three wins over Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponents, while facing several ranked opponents at Tulane's Colonial Lanes Classic over the weekend.
In Baker play, the Tigers faced No. 19 Tulane, No. 3 Vanderbilt, Florida A&M, No. 5 Wichita State, and No. 7 North Carolina A&T. They recorded a win over the Florida A&M Rattlers, 1,000-926.
On the second day of competition, Jackson State won two matches in the Traditional round. The first win came against Texas Southern in a 958-876 score, while the second came against the Southern Jaguars 863-829. They also competed against the No. 18 University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), No. 9 Louisiana Tech, and No. 6 Arkansas State.
The Tigers concluded the Colonial Lanes Classic by facing UAB and No. 12 Duquesne in Bracket play.
