Box Score JACKSON, Miss. | The Jackson State women's tennis team earned its second straight win in a 7-0 victory against Co-Lin at home on Sunday morning.
The Tigers (6-8, 4-0 SWAC) completed their second shutout in as many matches after shutting out Mississippi Valley State on Wednesday.
The doubles combination of Zeina Shaaban and Chiara Desia picked up a 6-4 win from court one in just their second team-up of the season. Isabela Benavides and Kayleigh Didderiens clinched the doubles point for the Tigers, winning their match in a 6-0 decision.
The Tigers carried their momentum into singles play with Zofia Dziewiecka and Desia leading the way as both claimed identical 6-0, 6-0 decisions. Daniella Tovar and Benavides won their matches on courts three and six, only giving up one point in each set. Wins by Didderiens and Shaaban sealed the deal for the Tigers home shutout.
