BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) released the 2025 championship bracket for women's tennis and Jackson State is the No. 1 overall seed heading into the weekend.
The tournament takes place at the City Park Tennis Center in New Orleans (La.) beginning Friday, April 18 and running through the championship match on April 20.
Jackson State (12-9, 8-1 SWAC) earned the No. 1 overall seed by virtue of its victory over Alabama State and will face No. 8 seed Grambling State in the quarterfinals at 9 a.m. on Friday. The winner of that match will face No. 4 seed Alabama A&M and No. 5 seed Prairie View A&M winner at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The remainder of the tournament features No. 2 seed Alabama State facing No. 7 seed Alcorn State, and No. 3 seed Florida A&M facing No. 6 seed Southern in the quarterfinals.
The championship match is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday.
