JACKSON, Miss. – Jackson State has announced its 2025 volleyball schedule, featuring 10 non-conference matches, seven home Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) games, and the hosting of the SWAC Western Division Cluster at the end of October.

The Tigers finished the 2024 season with a 19-12 overall record and a 13-3 mark in SWAC play. JSU advanced to the SWAC Championship game before closing the year in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) at Stephen F. Austin.

Jackson State will open the 2025 campaign at the Southeastern Showdown in Hammond, La., facing Louisiana Tech and Louisiana-Monroe on Aug. 29. The Tigers will then take on host Southeastern Louisiana on Aug. 30 to close out opening weekend.

JSU will spend the following weekend in Alabama, visiting Auburn on Sept. 5 and Troy on Sept. 6.

The Tigers will compete in the Bulldog Bash, hosted by Louisiana Tech, opening against the host team on Sept. 11. Day two will feature a matchup with Houston Christian, followed by a meeting with ULM in Monroe on Sept. 12.

Jackson State will then travel to Hattiesburg, Miss., for the two-day Golden Eagle Classic, facing Northwestern State on Sept. 19 and Southern Miss on Sept. 20 to conclude its non-conference slate.

SWAC play begins on the road at Florida A&M (Sept. 26) and Bethune-Cookman (Sept. 28). The Tigers will continue their road swing with visits to Prairie View A&M (Oct. 5) and Texas Southern (Oct. 6).

JSU will host its home opener at the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center against Alabama State on Oct. 10. The home stand continues with Alabama A&M (Oct. 12) and Mississippi Valley State (Oct. 15).

The Tigers will travel to Grambling State (Oct. 19) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Oct. 20) before returning home to host Alcorn State (Oct. 26) and Southern (Oct. 27).

A late-season road trip to Alabama will feature matchups at Alabama State (Nov. 7) and Alabama A&M (Nov. 9).

Jackson State will close out the regular season at home against Bethune-Cookman (Nov. 14) and Florida A&M (Nov. 16 – corrected date from October).

The 2025 SWAC Volleyball Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 21–23 in Tallahassee, Fla.
