Flogaites Tapped to Lead JSU Women's Soccer Program

JACKSON – The Jackson State Division of Athletics is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Ted Flogaites as its Head Women's Soccer Coach.

Flogaites comes from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, where he coached the Golden Lions in 2018.

"I'm pleased to welcome Dr. Flogaites to Jackson State to lead our women's soccer program," JSU Vice President and Director of Athletics, Ashley Robinson said. "Dr. Flogaites has a proven track record of ensuring a positive student-athlete experience. With a commitment to student-welfare and an extensive background in the technical aspects of soccer, he brings everything to the table that we wanted."

Flogaites is excited to begin work at JSU.

"Any team I have ever coached, I've given absolutely everything.  I will do the same here.  It's another opportunity to coach in and remain part of the world's best sport. I will care for the student-athletes as if they are my own daughters, with the sights being on improving them as players and as human beings, while I simultaneously learn to be a better coach and person from them," Flogaites said. "I want to thank UAPB athletic director Melvin Hines who was gracious enough to allow me to pursue this opportunity.  I want to thank Mr. Robinson and Mrs. Alyse Wells-Kilbert who made me feel very wanted and welcome and whose commitment to making this program better is evident. I am delighted to hit the pitch as we begin anew as a program."
