Tomekia Reed's weekly press conference, Reed alluded to if you out rebound a team you have a chance to win. JSU did just that and won the battle of the boards 55-35, including 35-22 on the defensive glass. Junior
Sumer Williams recorded a career-high 15 rebounds and scored eight points and handed out three assists in the win.

Marneisha Hamer averages 14.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, both of which lead the team. The Memphis native is also converting 53.8 percent of her shots from the floor, which ranks in the top 10 of the SWAC.
