BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference revealed its 2021-22 All-SWAC Team and Players of the Year.
 
Dayzsha Rogan was named the SWAC Preseason Player of the Year and Ameshya Williams the SWAC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. Rogan and Williams were voted All-SWAC First Team.
 
Rogan ranked second in the league in scoring with 17.6 points per contest. She also finished sixth in the conference in field goal percentage (.426), first in free throw percentage (.808), second in three-point field goals per game (2.5), and seventh in steals per game (2.0).
 
Williams ranked sixth in the league in scoring (15.7), second in rebounding (12.0), second in field goal percentage (.567), and first in blocked shots per game (3.2). Her defensive presence assisted the Lady Tigers to hold opponents to a league-low 58.8 points per game.
 
In 2020-21, the Tigers went 18-6 overall and 14-1 in SWAC play. Led by fourth-year head coach Tomekia Reed, JSU won the SWAC regular season and tournament championships and earned the No. 15 seed in the NCAA tournament.
 
The Tigers look to repeat as back-to-back-to-back champions.
