TALLAHASSEE, FLA - The Jackson State women's basketball team continues Southwestern Athletic conference play on Monday inside Al Lawson Center to face off against the Florida A&M Rattlers.
This will be the second game of the Florida road swing for the Lady Tigers.
JSU (8-6, 6-0 SWAC) picked up its sixth consecutive conference win this past Saturday over Bethune-Cookman, 82-49. The Lady Tigers used a combination of balanced scoring and pressure defense in the win which saw them lead for the entire contest.
The Lady Tigers are led by senior
Ameshya Williams-Holliday who averages 17.9 ppg (1st in the SWAC) who has now scored in double figures for 14 straight games, including all 14 this season. She also ranks first in the SWAC in rebounding (11.6), field goal percentage (55), and blocks (2.9) per game.
Senior
Dayzsha Rogan is averaging 15.6 points per game shooting 48 percent from the field.
FAMU greets the Lady Tigers in Tallahassee with an overall record of 3-14, 3-3 SWAC. The Rattlers are coming off two losses falling to UAPB 76-53 and Mississippi Valley 78-62. Their last contest resulted in a win due to a forfeit from the Alcorn State program.
The Rattlers are led by junior guard Dylan Horton who is averaging 17.7 points per game. Anisja Harris is also averaging double figures for FAMU with 13.0 points per game.
This is the first meeting between the two programs on the hardwood. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. CT and will be streamed live on the FAMU Athletics Facebook Page.
