ITTA BENA, MISS - Jackson State women's basketball team gear up for another road conference swing this upcoming weekend as they travel to take on Mississippi Valley State tomorrow inside the R.W. Harrison HPER complex in Itta Bena, Mississippi at 2 p.m. CT. 

The Lady Tigers (11-6, 9-0 SWAC) took care of business this past weekend defeating Grambling State (81-68) and Southern (66-58). JSU is now 9-0 in conference in play and is currently on an 9-game winning streak. 

The win over Southern was fueled by three Tigers in double figures including another double-double from the reigning SWAC Defensive Player of the Year and All-American candidate Ameshya Williams-Holliday with 17 points and 14 rebounds, 14 from Keshuna Luckett, and 12 from Miya Crump

Ameshya Williams-Holliday continues to pace the Lady Tigers averaging 18.4 points and 11.6 rebounds per game (11th in the NCAA). Williams-Holliday has now scored in double figures 16 straight games and has also recorded 12 double-doubles ranking 13th in the NCAA. 

Dayzsha Rogan, who is averaging 15.0 points per game this season, has scored in double figures in 11 games this season. 

The Lady Tigers are one of the top defensive teams in the SWAC ranking No. 1 in scoring defense (61.9 ppg) and in blocked shots (5.06 bpg). JSU is also ranked 7th in the NCAA in rebound margin (10.2) and 9th in the NCAA in field goal percentage defense (34.7). 

JSU is averaging 77.1 ppg this season on 44.4 percent shooting ranking No. 1 in the SWAC. 

Mississippi Valley State (2-15, 1-8 SWAC) enters Saturday's contest dropping their last two to Southern (67-58) and UAPB (75-63). 

They are led by Zakiya Mahoney who averages 14.3 points per game followed by Mikayla Etienna with 11.5 points per game. 
 
JSU has won the last eight meetings between the two programs including defeating MVSU twice last season 74-48 and 70-47 in the SWAC tournament.
