JACKSON, Miss.| The Jackson State women's basketball team is set to host Bethune-Cookman Saturday afternoon after a split Texas road trip. Tip-off is set for 12:30 p.m. tomorrow between the Tigers and the Wildcats at the Lee E. Williams Athletic and Assembly Center.

Jackson State (7-8, 4-1 SWAC) competed at Prairie View A&M last Saturday and Texas Southern Monday evening. The Tigers fell in a heartbreaker to PVAMU, 69-65. JSU topped Texas Southern 87-58. Daphane White posted her first double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Angel Jackson added 13 points, eight rebounds and three blocks against TSU. Jariyah Covington also chipped in with 11 points in the win.

Jackson State fell one spot in the conference rankings as Prairie View takes over as number one with a 5-1 SWAC record. The Tigers follow in second with a 4-1 record. Southern, Alabama A&M and Bethune-Cookman round out the top five.

Bethune-Cookman (5-10, 4-1 SWAC) is coming off a nail-biting win at home against Arkansas-Pine Bluff Monday evening. The Wildcats tied the game at 61 with nine seconds left. BCU sealed its 63-61 victory with a 9-0 run in 1:11. Three Wildcats scored in double figures in the win led by Chanel Wilson with 16 points. Morgan Beacham followed with 13 points and D'Shantae Edwards finished with 11 points.

Jariyah Covington has the highest free throw percentage in the conference (.844). Keshuna Luckett remains number one in assists in the SWAC and Covington is at 6^th. Angel Jackson sits third in the SWAC in rebounds while Daja Woodard is 11^th. Jackson is also 3^rd in blocked shots with 31 on the season. Ti'Ian Boler is 11^th in scoring the SWAC having registered 156 points so far this season.
