JACKSON, Miss.| The Jackson State men's tennis team took down Prairie View A&M's Friday afternoon at the JSU Tennis Center. The Tigers topped the Panthers 4-0 in their SWAC opener.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jackson State (1-4, 1-0 SWAC) won the doubles point as Francisco Vargas and Raul Centeno defeated Jorge Juarez (PVAMU) and Diego Hatem (PVAMU), 6-3, and Gokalp Ayar and Jesus Gonzales defeated Caleb Eaton (PVAMU) and Jaydn Boone (PVAMU), 6-0
• Richy Gamo breezed past Caleb Eaton in singles, 6-1, 6-1
• Gokalp Ayar topped his opponent, 6-1, 6-1
• Carlos Castillo defeated Jaydn Boone, 6-2, 6-0 to secure the 4-0 win for the Tigers

The Tigers will return to the JSU Tennis Center Sunday morning to face Alabama State. First serve is set for 10:00 a.m.
