JACKSON, Miss.| The Jackson State women's basketball team is set to compete in the NCAA Tournament as it faces UConn in the first round. The Tigers were tabbed the No. 14 seed in the Portland 3 Region of the 2024 NCAA DI Women's Basketball Championship.

Jackson State will open play in the first round of the tournament against No. 3-seeded UConn in Storrs, Connecticut. Tip-off is set for noon central on ABC. Fans can also listen to the game at wjsu.org and The Sipp.

The Tigers punched their ticket to the tournament after defeating Alcorn State 68-44 to claim the 2024 SWAC Championship title.

Ti'Ian Boler was tabbed all-tournament team.
