JACKSON, Miss. | Jackson State scored early but fell to a furious Alabama A&M rally on Saturday at Braddy Field, falling 22-17 in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) action.

Jackson State (22-11, 7-6 SWAC) jumped ahead 12-2 through the first two innings before Alabama A&M (6-27, 4-10) used a six-run third and a seven-run sixth to come from behind to take the lead and hold on for the win.

The Tigers pounded out 17 hits with five players picking up multiple hits on the day.
Jordan McCladdie finished 3-for-6 with three runs scored, while
Robert Tate Jr. finished 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, and
Joseph Eichelberger was 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI.
Lenny Montesano finished 2-for-5 with four RBI and
Jaelen Williams was 2-for-5 with two RBI in the loss.

Darrell Hardrick Jr. (0-1), the fifth of six pitchers used on the day, suffered the loss out of the bullpen.

How It Happened
- (B1) Montesano singled to left to drive in Rodney Hibler Jr and McCladdie before Tate singled in a run and Myles White drove in a run with an RBI groundout, Jackson State 4-0.
- (T2) Blake Martin drew a bases-loaded walk followed by a sacrifice fly from Chevalier Dorris, Jackson State 4-2.
- (B2) Montesano singled down the right field line followed by a two-run single up the middle by Eichelberger. The Tigers continued to score when Sebastian Cabeza singled to center followed by a Tate single to extend the lead. White tripled home a run to center and Ledy Alvarez brought in a run grounding into a double play, Jackson State 12-2.
- (T3) Miles Jackson singled to left followed by a pair of runs scoring on an error and a balk, Jackson State 12-8.
- (B3) Montesano recorded a sacrifice fly, Jackson State 13-8.
- (T4) Alabama A&M used a wild pitch to trim the lead, Jackson State 13-9.
- (T5) Tristan Curless hit a solo home run to right before Jackson recorded an RBI ground out, Jackson State 13-12.
- (B5) White recorded an RBI ground out before Williams recorded an RBI with a double down the left field line, Jackson State 16-12.
- (T6) Curless singled to center before Z Rice recorded an RBI single. The inning continued with three consecutive batters hit by a pitch with the bases loaded before Brycen Hammonds drew a bases-loaded walk, Alabama A&M 19-16.
- (T7) Martin doubled to the right center to drive in a run, Alabama A&M 20-16.
- (B7) Williams singled to center to drive in a run and trim the deficit, Alabama A&M 20-17.
- (T8) Curless hit his second home run of the game to right, Alabama A&M 22-17.
