JACKSON, Miss. | The Jackson State University Division of Athletics released its 2025 baseball schedule featuring 21 home contests and five home Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) series.
The Tigers start the season with a pair of tournaments on back-to-back weekends beginning the Cactus Jack Classic in Houston (Texas). The Tigers throw out the first pitch against Grambling State (Feb. 14), followed by Alabama A&M (Feb. 15) and Texas Southern (Feb. 16). They will travel the next weekend to Vero Beach (Fla.) for the Andre Dawson Classic beginning with Southern (Feb. 21), Prairie View A&M (Feb. 22), and Alabama State (Feb. 23).
Following the two tournaments, the Tigers will play their home opener on Feb. 26 against Lane, the lone home game of the month for Jackson State. They will close out the month of February at a neutral site against Alcorn State (Feb. 28) at Smith Wills Stadium in the first of a three-game series. They close out the series with a pair of games in Vicksburg (Miss.) on March 1 and March 2 against the Braves. Jackson State plays four non-conference games to open the month of March before conference play starts beginning with home games against New Orleans (March 5) and a doubleheader against Tougaloo (March 11). The final non-conference game before the beginning of SWAC play is on the road against Tulane (March 12).
Conference play begins on the road against Prairie View A&M (March 14-16), followed by a pair of mi-week games against Mississippi State (March 18) on the road and Tougaloo (March 19) at Braddy Field. The Tigers stay home for a pair of conference series against Bethune-Cookman (March 21-23) and Grambling State (March 28-30).
The Tigers open the month of April on the road against Ole Miss (April 1) before a road series against Florida A&M (April 4-6). They stay on the road in a mid-week contest against New Orleans (April 8) before a three-game set at Alabama State (April 11-13). Following the eight-game road swing, the Tigers return home for a mid-week contest against Nicholls (April 15) and a three-game series against Alabama A&M (April 17-19).
Conference play continues the next weekend on the road at Alcorn State (April 25-27) and a home series against Mississippi Valley State (May 2-4). They will hit the road for their final non-conference road game against Nicholls (May 6) before a three-game road series against UAPB (May 9-11). The Tigers close the regular season with a three-game SWAC series against Southern (May 15-17) before the SWAC Tournament at Rickwood Field in Birmingham (Ala.).
