BIRMINGHAM, Ala.| After back-to-back stellar performances against Mercer and Arkansas State, Rhema Pegues was tabbed SWAC Player of the Week.

In the matchup against Mercer, Pegues recored 14 points and went a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. She also added two rebounds and a steal on the day.

Pegues led the Tigers' offense with 21 points against Arkansas State and went 7-for-11 from the field. She tacked on three defensive rebounds, one steal and an assist.

The Tigers will travel to Conway, S.C. to compete in the Coastal Carolina Tournament. JSU will face Coast Carolina on Friday at 2 p.m. and Gardener-Webb on Saturday at noon.
