Box Score JACKSON, Miss. | The Lady Tigers defeated the Delta State Statesmen 6-1 for their second win of the season at the JSU Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.Â
Jackson State (2-6) won the doubles point with wins in all three of their matches as
Kayleigh Didderiens and
Isabela Benavides won a highly competitive 7-5 decision on number two. The teams of
Paula Corbalan and
Zeina Shaaban, and
Zofia Dziewiecka and
Daniella Tovar won their respective matchups 6-1 and 6-2.
The Lady Tigers dominated singles competition, winning five of the six matches. Shaaban secured her win with a 6-1, 6-1 decision, while Didderiens won her match 6-2, 6-4. Dziewiecka defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-1 at number four and
Chiara Desia claimed her win with a 6-2, 6-1 decision. Benavides finished the day for Jackson State winning her match 6-2, 6-3. Corbalan also forced her match to three sets at number one.Â
