JACKSON, Miss. | Jackson State shut out Mississippi Valley State on Wednesday morning inside the JSU Tennis Center to move to 3-1 in SWAC play.
The Tigers won the doubles point thanks to a 6-0 decision from the duo of Alejandro Pinilla and Federico Pickenstainer.Â
Jackson State (4-9, 3-1 SWAC) built on its strong doubles performance and carried it into singles play. Jhoan Vaquero earned a 6-0, 6-1 victory over his opponent at number five, while Maas Schotanus dominated his match, winning with a 6-0, 6-0 decision. Fabrizio Fallas also claimed victory as the Tigers completed their shut over the Delta Devils.Â
