Opponent Preview: Grambling State

JACKSON, Miss. – The Jackson State soccer team is set for another conference matchup tomorrow afternoon on the road at Grambling State University.

The Lady Tigers are coming off of a 1-0 victory over Texas Southern University over the weekend for the Tigers second SWAC win of the season. The Tigers now sit at 2-11 overall and 2-3 in conference play.

Jackson State makes the trip down to Grambling (La.) against a Grambling State University team that sits with an overall record of 6-8-1 and 3-2 in the SWAC with wins over Mississippi Valley State, Alcorn State, and Alcorn State.

Kaylee Holt and Kailey Pena lead Grambling with 11 and 10 goals each on 48 and 33 shots a piece.

Grambling has collected a total of 37 goals while surrendering only 22 goals on the season.

The team is coached by head coach Justin Wagar and assisted by Jazmye Lewis and Eric Hooper.

The two teams go head to head tomorrow beginning at 4 p.m.
