JACKSON, Miss. – The Jackson State Lady Tigers host Alcorn State tomorrow at 1 p.m. in conference play for a chance to continue the teams four game win streak.
Jackson State began it's four game winning streak with a 1-0 victory over Texas Southern University back on October 13
th and has since gone on to defeat Grambling State 2-0, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 1-0, and Mississippi Valley State 1-0
The team has impressed with four straight shutouts and a continuing streak of 426 straight minutes without allowing a goal. That streak is currently the longest shutout streak in recent history for the program (
dating back to records that begin in 2015).
It is also the first time since September of 2017 that JSU soccer has been above .500 in conference play.
Coming off of Sunday's 1-0 win versus Mississippi Valley State, Jackson State now sits in 4
th overall place out of 11 schools in SWAC play with a current conference record of 5-3. The Blue and White topped it's season high of shots in a game in the win with 23 shots (nine on goal) which came one game after previously setting the season high with 20 shots and 10 shots on goal in a 1-0 win over UAPB.

Thea Ebbe Brich has been a force in the goal with 49 saves and a .628 save percentage. As a team, JSU currently is ranked seventh in the nation with 52 of 91 shots being on goal (.571) as they look to continue that trend on tomorrow versus Lady Braves of Alcorn State.
Alcorn State enters the contest still searching for win number one on the season, sitting with a current overall record of 0-13 and 0-7 in conference play.

Giselle Rojas, have combined for 11.69 per match through 13 contests while the offense has been accurate with the fifth-best shot accuracy rate in the country at .576. Helms currently sits second nationally in saves per game (9.58) and fourth for total saves (115).

The Lady Braves are coached by Junior Noel who is in his third season for Alcorn State at the helm of the soccer program.
The match is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Jackson State University Soccer Complex.
