JACKSON, Miss. – The Jackson State soccer team released its 2019 schedule on Monday with a total of 18 games on the season, seven of which will be hosted by the Lady Tigers at home, nine road games, and two games played at neutral sites.
The Lady Tigers will open up the 2019 season on the road on August 23 against Troy University in Troy, Ala.
JSU will remain on the road for the first four games of the season with games versus Troy, South Alabama, Southeastern Louisiana, and Arkansas State before returning home on September 8 for the first home matchup of the season against Northwestern State University.
The final non-conference home game the Tigers will host will be on Sept. 22 against North Alabama before beginning SWAC play on the road versus Howard University (Sept. 27).
JSU will host the first home conference game against Prairie View A&M on October 11, apart of five SWAC home games for the Lady Tigers. Other home conference games include Texas Southern (October 13), Alcorn State (Oct. 25), Mississippi Valley State (Oct. 27), and Southern University (Nov. 1).
The Blue and White hit the road for five conference road games with games at Howard (Sept. 27), Alabama State (Oct. 4), Alabama A&M (Oct. 6), Grambling State (Oct. 18), and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Oct. 20) this season.
Other notable games the Tigers will play this year will be at McNeese State on Sept. 13 and at the University of Southern Mississippi on September 15 in Hattiesburg, Miss.
