Jackson State Women's Basketball Set to Open 2023-24 Campaign at Home Wednesday

JACKSON, Miss.| The Jackson State women's basketball home opener against LeMoyne-Owen has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Nov.8 at 6 p.m. at the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center.
 
The Tigers are set to open the 2023-24 season with back-to-back home matchups featuring LeMoyne-Owen (Nov. 8) and Tougaloo (Nov. 15).
 
Jackson State closed out its 2022-23 with its fourth consecutive SWAC Regular Season Championship. The Tigers finished with a 21-10 overall record and 17-1 in conference play. JSU is predicted to finish first in the SWAC, again.  Ti'Ian Boler is the SWAC Preseason Player of the Year and Angel Jackson is the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. Jackson and Daphane White were tabbed Preseason All-SWAC Second Team.
 
Head coach Tomekia Reed enters her sixth season leading the Tigers. Reed was recently named to the 2024 Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Preseason watch list presented by Her Hoop Stats.
