JACKSON, Miss.| Jackson State women's soccer announced the 2023 soccer schedule Monday morning. The schedule includes 10 home matches and nine non-conference opponents.  

The defending Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Champions finished the 2022 season 11-8-1 overall and 7-1-1 in conference. The Tigers defeated Grambling State 4-2 in overtime to claim the 2023 SWAC Soccer Championship title. JSU closed its season in the 2022 NCAA Soccer Tournament against the University of Alabama.

Jackson State will kick off the 2023 campaign with an exhibition at home against Louisiana Tech (Aug. 6) followed by another exhibition matchup at Southern Miss (Aug. 10).

The Tigers will officially open their season on the road at Southern Illinois (Aug. 17). JSU will take on Arkansas State (Aug. 24) in Jonesboro, Ark.

Jackson State will host its home opener against Murray State (Aug. 27) and then hit the road for a matchup at Nicholls State (Sept. 1) before returning home to host ULM (Sept. 3) and Northwestern State (Sept. 8). JSU is set to take on Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 10) in Hammond.

The Tigers will close out the non-conference slate at the JSU Soccer Complex against McNeese State (Sept. 16) and the University of South Carolina Upstate (Sept. 18).

Jackson State opens SWAC play at home versus Alcorn State (Sept. 22) and Mississippi Valley State (Sept. 24). The Tigers head to Alabama to face Alabama State (Oct. 6) and Alabama A&M (Oct. 8).

JSU will return to its home field to host Prairie View A&M (Oct. 13) and Texas Southern (Oct. 15).

The Tigers will travel to Grambling State (Oct. 20) for a SWAC Championship rematch. The blue and white will continue its road trip to Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Oct. 22).

Jackson State will close out the regular season at home against Southern University (Oct. 27).

The 2023 SWAC Soccer Tournament will be held Nov. 2-5 at Prairie View A&M.
