JONESBORO, Ark.| The Jackson State soccer team is set to take on Arkansas State in its second road game of the season Thursday morning. Due to extreme heat conditions, the game time has been moved to 11 a.m.
Jackson State (0-1) opened its 2023 campaign at Southern Illinois Thursday afternoon. The Tigers fell 2-1 in the matchup. Maya Thompson scored the Tigers' only goal of the game with an assist from
Sage Magruder. Jackson State registered nine shots while Southern Illinois finished with 11. JSU's
Jordan Smith recorded one save on the day for Jackson State.
Arkansas State (1-1) opened its season with a 6-0 loss at Arkansas. But the Red Wolves evened out their record with a win over Southern Sunday afternoon.
